Brides Wanted for New Doumentary

Are you getting married soon? Do you want to extend an invitation to a parent you don’t see very often?

TiFiNi is developing a sensitive and honest documentary for a major broadcaster and we’re looking for young people (16-25) who have lost touch with a parent and now want to reconnect, especially for an upcoming event in their lives.

It's not always going to be a wedding. We're also looking for people who want to invite their parent to a birthday, graduation, birth of a child, sports game or performance - anything that’s made them think about getting back in touch with their mum or dad.

There are lots of reasons why you may have lost touch – parents’ separation, no longer living close to one another, your parent may have spent time in prison or have had some difficult problems of their own to deal with. Whatever your story, we’d love to hear from you.

At the moment, we’re looking for people to take part in a taster tape which we’re hoping will lead to a full documentary. The programme would follow the experience of several young people and their families as they go through the ups and downs of inviting their mum or dad back into their life.
