What is a sensible sort of wedding budget?

What is a sensible sort of wedding budget?
I originally wanted something small and simple, at about £2,000, but I have a big family and I couldn't find anywhere nice that is large enough, but my mum has found a very beautiful, perfect place not too far away, but it has no price guide - I'm expecting about £5,000 because it'll include food, music, decorations etc. But it really is so beautiful!

How much should I be spending? I need a sensible budget to keep me grounded!
